Self Portrait in Blender

A self portrait created in Blender and After Effects.

Modeled in Blender and rendered with Cycles. I composited the passes (primarily the Combined, AO, transmission, and Subsurface Scattering passes) in Adobe After Effects.
This shot shows the geometry a little bit better.
The base mesh was sculpted from a cube, then the head was retopologized and detail was sculpted back on. Using normal maps and skin textures, additional detail was baked into the surface.
